How To Make Your First Clickbank Sale Using Facebook Ads (as an affiliate)

The first main reason why most aspiring affiliates don’t make their first sale is: that they attempt to reinvent the wheel too early in the game.
Unless you have access to exclusive offers and you know what you’re doing, your best bet is to go with what’s already working…
At every period in time, there are always some products that are doing better than all the other products combined!
This brings me to the first strategy of successful affiliates:

When picking the product to promote: don’t run away from the competition

It’s probably counterintuitive to do this...
But when you are looking for the first product to promote, don’t go looking for the “untapped offer”, on the fifth page of Clickbank’s Marketplace, that you think has less competition…
Instead, ask yourself:
“What are the top 3 products that the super affiliates are promoting?” and affiliate yourself with these products!
Now, let’s see how you can answer this question for yourself in seconds...

The image above belongs to Spy Hero, a software that scours Facebook and YouTube for Advertisements.
Specifically, the ads that promote affiliate offers from networks like Clickbank (also Digistore24, Maxweb and BuyGoods).
It's a very useful tool if you want to up your game...
Click here to get Spy Hero and enjoy the first 14 days completely FREE.
On this software, you can see almost immediately which products are the most popular among other affiliates based on the number of ads that have been found on Facebook…
Most of the time, you will be ok if you choose any of the top 5 products to promote. As these can be considered the most popular (see image below)…

After you choose your offer among the top 5 products, you will be ready for the next step...
The next step is often overlooked, but it’s the most important aspect of your funnel...
Particularly in affiliate marketing, and super affiliates put a lot of resources into it...
I am talking about your Ads. Particularly, your Ad Creative.
The Ad Creative is the image or video that goes with your Ad.
A Good Ad Creative usually incorporates one or more of these features: it’s shocking, it has a native look and does not promote the product directly.

Check out this random advertiser above and see what they're doing with their ads...
They have four ads that seem to be doing well. They've been running for over a month, which isn't just luck.
None of the ads are directly selling a product. So, they fulfill the criteria of not selling anything directly.
These three ads below have a more natural and native vibe to them. They look like something you could easily make yourself at home. They have a native look.

If you could include at least two of these three features in your ads, chances are they will be a hit and your Meta Ads Campaign will achieve its objectives!
After you get an idea of the type of ads that you should be creating for your campaign using Spy Hero, you can go ahead and make your ad creatives (the more the better) to be ready for the next step.
With an offer and ad creatives ready, you are almost there. But hold on, we still need to figure out to which website we will send this traffic from Facebook.
And that first ad?
It's grabbing attention with its shocking factor.
It's pretty out there and might be a bit unsettling due to this weird thing in the stomach, but it's sure to catch the eye of people scrolling through their feed.

Make a high converting Landing Page...
Sometimes, beginners make the mistake of sending people straight to their affiliate links.
That's not good.
Because it can feel like spam and also breaks the rules of big social media platforms and ad networks.
Instead, it's better to guide them to helpful content first, like a blog post, a quiz, or a video, and then gently introduce the product.
This way, you build trust and stay on the good side of the rules.
There are three types of popular landing pages for media-buying affiliates:
quiz landing page: It's where visitors take a quick quiz before seeing the offer. It might get fewer clicks to the affiliate link, but those who do reach the offer are more interested and likely to buy.
Blog style landing page: it’s like a personal blog post. It talks directly to the reader, sharing a story that connects with them and makes them curious about the offer."
Bridge page: super basic. Just a headline, maybe a short description, and a call to action. Gets the highest click-through rate for the offer but might need more clicks to make a sale.

I think the landing page isn't as crucial as the offer or the ads, especially with Facebook Ads.
If your offer is solid and your ads are engaging, any style of landing page should work fine.
After going through these 3 steps, you should be ready to make your first sale. I did exactly that and made my first two sales within 24 hours of launching my Facebook Ad Campaign.
I put it all in a YouTube video, you can watch it below.
